The bIUreactor:
What if we could make 3D tissue culture accessible and affordable to all biomedical research labs?
The conventional method of 2D cell culture in biomedical research lacks the three dimensional cues and inputs existent in naturally occurring tissues.
Recreating the 3D environment has normally been prohibitively expensive and complicated.
The bIUreactor is a modular, fully-autoclavable, 3D printed biofabrication platform.
With the exception of electronic components and tubing, all components are 3D printed or silicone casted from 3D printed molds.
Our modular design allows for the production, culture, observation, and analysis of 3D-structured tissues in a format that is accessible and affordable to academic researchers at all skill levels.
