Project Overview:

Plugging and unplugging mobile devices is cumbersome. Using Standby mode with a plug can lead to charge port damage and is in elegant.

Users may want an elegant dock charger solution at home but want to be able to dismount the chargers and pack them for travel without having to buy a separate charger.

Project Goal:

Design and produce a sleek and functional 3D-printed stand that holds chargers and displays devices in an elegant fashion.

Key Objectives:

Allow removal of the charger from the dock to allow use in other scenarios such a travel, lending a friend to charge their device while using it in their hand, or transferring to a vehicle.

Produce various holding and holder number iterations for wirelessly charged mobile devices within the Apple product offering.

Target Audience:

Mobile device users looking to charge their devices while displaying them in a functional way.

Objective:

Design a sleek and functional stand to hold the MagSafe charger securely and stylishly.

Specifications:

  1. Compatibility: Compatible with MagSafe and/or Apple Watch Wireless chargers.

  2. Assembly: Chargers mounted and dismounted by hand without tools.

  3. Operation: Mobile device and mounted and dismounted with one hand.

    1. Dock allows mobile devices to be mounted in Portrait or StandBy Mode.

  4. Materials: High-quality materials for durability and aesthetic appeal.

  5. Stability: Stable enough to securely hold the MagSafe charger and the mounted mobile device in place.

  6. Cable Management: Include provisions for neat and organized cable management.

  7. Compact Design: Keep the design compact for space efficiency.

  8. Aesthetic: Capitalizes on the use of magnets to produce a floating aesthetic.
